About the Artist
N’yomi Allure Stewart (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist and community organizer hailing from South Carolina but based in New York City. N’yomi is the first black trans woman to graduate from the prestigious University of North Carolina School of the Arts Acting program receiving a B.F.A. and has since has worked at the Public Theater (Off-Broadway: Richard III, A Raisin in the Sun) and other notable theater companies. Stamping herself in NYC as an artist on the rise, N’yomi has been an artist in residence with GALLIM (Moving Artist Resident), New York Theater Workshop (Dartmouth & Adelphi), BTFA (Black Trans Femmes in the Arts), and recently the 2024 recipient of the Toulmin Fund. N’yomi was the Associate Director of NYC’s hottest show CATS: The Jellicle Ball where her DNA is engrained in not only the production but the process of the show.

Outside of N’yomi’s work in the American Theatre she is a part of the NYC’s underground ballroom scene. One of the hottest new Fem Queen performers of her class, Omi got her start in NYC's kiki scene as a part of the Iconic House of Juicy Couture where she quickly made an imprint. With a talent and champion-like attitude, Omi also joined in the Iconic House of Balenciaga where she debuted and won at the Alpha Omega Ball having the hottest debut of that year in mainstream ballroom. In just three years, Omi has been recognized as the kiki scene's "Most Innovative," Princess of NYC's historic Pier, and as a teacher within her community. Cultivating a space of embraced femininity and vogue performance, Omi has taken her classes and knowledge to Atlanta, Toronto, Boston, New Jersey, and Europe (Norway) in addition to educational institutions like Columbia University and NYU.
