Weisman Art Museums members support our mission to create and advance inclusive arts experiences to broaden understanding of ourselves, our communities, and our world. Currently we have two membership levels: Free Members, and Giving Members who contribute $5 a month or more. Stay tuned for a membership refresh with additional levels and benefits, coming in 2026.
Your support is essential. Generous contributions from Giving Members and steady support from Free Members are the backbone of WAM. Choose a membership level that’s right for you, and connect with fellow art enthusiasts!

Joining as a Giving Member is easy, simply donate $5 a month or more to WAM and receive the below benefits. We rely on our Giving Members to provide yearlong, sustaining support for our unique programs, expansive exhibitions, and to ensure gallery admission remains free for all visitors.

Joining as a Free Member simply entails signing up for our monthly e-newsletter linked below. As a Free Member, you will be kept up to date on museum happenings, upcoming exhibitions, and be at the forefront of ways to engage deeper with WAM.

Why do giving and free memberships go through the University of Minnesota Foundation?
As part of the University of Minnesota system, our donations and philanthropic records are managed by the University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF), ensuring that 100% of your gift comes directly to the museum. Thanks to UMF’s support, the museum’s operating costs are reduced, enabling your donation to have an even greater impact at WAM.
Are you part of any other reciprocal programs, besides the College and University Art Museums Reciprocal Program?
We are currently revamping our membership offerings and plan to bring back our reciprocal programs for certain levels of membership with our relaunch.
Are Giving Memberships tax deductible?
Yes! All donations to WAM are processed by the University of Minnesota Foundation (UMF) and are 100% tax deductible. You can contact UMF for more information at [email protected] or by calling 800-775-2187 or 612-624-3333.
