A few times each year, the Weisman Art Museum opens its doors to cosponsorships with University of Minnesota departments and outside organizations, offering the museum as a venue for mission-aligned programs. We look to support activities that, like WAM, spark discovery, critical thinking, and transformation, connecting diverse audiences to meaningful experiences. As part of a cosponsorship, WAM will provide a waived rental fee for UMN departments and groups or a steeply discounted rate for non-UMN community groups, as well as marketing support for the event. Events must be free and open to the public, and cosponsorship applications must be submitted at least eight weeks in advance of the proposed date. To learn more and apply for a cosponsorship, visit this form.
University of Minnesota Events
Outside of cosponsorships, WAM offers discounted rental rates to University of Minnesota Events. A University event is defined as a UMN entity hosting a University-sponsored event that supports the mission of the institution. A member of the University department is our contact who coordinates the event details, signs the contract, and pays the invoice. A corporate or private event coordinated by a University alumnus, donor, or employee is charged the non-University rate.
