Lacey Prpić Hedtke is a photographer, astrologer, arts organizer and public artist in Minneapolis.
Lacey works with traditional darkroom photographic processes and public art—gifting and posting photographs in her neighborhood exploring the themes of history of place, protection, magic, and remembrance, using building permits, housing histories, public records, and city directories to create protective photo tear-offs, tintypes, and cyanotype banners on telephone poles in Minneapolis. Her work explores and is shown in unregulated and public spaces.
She trained to be a medium at the Greater Boston Church of Spiritualism, and has studied astrology and tarot for years. In 2017, she opened The Future—a project and residency space with a retail storefront and witches' spa that acts as a community center for artists, healers, and witches.
Lacey holds a BFA in photography from the Lesley University College of Art and Design, an MLIS from St. Catherine University, and is certified as an auctioneer through the World Wide College of Auctioneering.
