The Human Touch: Selections from the RBC Wealth Management Art Collection
October 10, 2015 - January 3, 2016

WAM is pleased to host the traveling exhibition, The Human Touch: Selections from the RBC Wealth Management Art Collection, a beautiful and thought-provoking exhibition celebrating people and diversity.

Over thirty major works by national and international contemporary artists were chosen from RBC’s four hundred-piece collection. Though works range in size and media, each artist centers on the body as subject. From portraits, to telling stories through pictures, to more experimental means and angles the artists evoke themes and ideas that are common to the human condition.

This touring show has traveled to more than a dozen venues over the past several years and as the city of the company’s corporate headquarters, this stop in Minneapolis has special meaning to RBC and the larger Twin Cities community it calls home.

Artists in The Human Touch exhibition include John Ahearn, Mequitta Ahuja, Radcliffe Bailey, Tiranit Barzilay, Dawoud Bey, Frank Big Bear, Jr., Willie Birch, Geneviève Cadieux, Chen Qiulin, Dinh Q. Lê, Lalla Essaydi, Roland Fischer, Till Friewald, Gajin Fujita, Luis Gispert, Ann Hamilton, Jane Hammonds, Hung Liu, Robert Longo, Julia Jacquette, Kerry James Marshall, Vik Muniz, Elizabeth Peyton, Iona Rozeal, Lezley Saar, Roger Shimomura, Alec Soth, Akio Takamori, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, T.
