DJ McShellen has made her way through Minnesota’s local DJ scene. Her father came to the states from Cameroon and fell in love with deejaying, so it was only right that she followed suit. As an open format DJ, she’s opened up for global star, #1 African Bad Gyal Tiwa Savage, and has played at countless venues including Varisity, First Avenue, 7th Street Entry, and numerous bars, lounges, clubs, art and community spaces. She’s also worked with 300 Ent, Dash Radio, KMOJ, and Carbon Sound.
She loves to create a real melting pot of old school, throwback and new school, futuristic. 50% that’s my jam and 50% oh this a bop! Though she is an open format, her favorite genres are Afrobeat, Amapiano/Afro-house, Bounce, Funk Fusion, R&B, HipHop, and Reggae. Her goal is to bring something different to the music scene every chance she gets and create a new, fun, and enjoyed experience while in any space.
