Join the Weisman in celebrating Día de los Muertos, in collaboration with Centro Tyrone Guzman and artist Monica Vega. Featured artist and altarista Monica Vega gathers her artistic practice and inspiration from her familial roots in Michoacan, Mexico. The Day of the Dead is deeply personal to her and she loves teaching people of all ages about its meaning and traditions.

Celebrate on Saturday, November 2, from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. for a community gathering featuring music, refreshments, and art-making activities. The community ofrenda will remain on view through Sunday, November 3 during museum open hours.

Presented in partnership with Centro Tyrone Guzman. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
