In February and March, artist-in-residence Amoke Kubat will host Yo Mama's House Northside Black History Month Pop-Up Museum. The exhibition is coordinated in concert with North Minneapolis creatives, and invites visitors to experience Northside Minneapolis' own Afrofuturism—reimagining a future through the lens of the African diaspora.

The February 26 screening includes four films: Brian Few Jr.'s Angels Walk, Philip McGraw's 8 Seasons of Art, Ini Augustine's Farming Our Way Home, and Joe Davis' Ancestral Echoes.

Join us again on March 11 for a second evening of films in recognition of Women's History Month, including Keri Pickett's First Daughter and the Black Snake and a selection of films from Teresa Konechne, Shanai Matteson, and Missy Whiteman. RSVP here for the March screening >>
