NEW Paid Undergraduate Student Opportunity
We’re hiring a team of student digital content creators!

The WAM Digital Content Team is a multidisciplinary unit that pursues projects collaboratively; each staffer will be expected to weigh in on others’ projects, as well as contribute their own ideas. We’re looking for team players, organized self-starters, and people who are excited to experiment with new material and media. They should be passionate about arts, culture, and the power of sound and moving image as media for telling great stories. Does this sound like you? Apply to join WAM’s team today!

Position: Digital Content Creator (3 Open Positions)
Rate: $15.00 / Hr, 5 hrs / Week
Contract Period: February – May 1, 2021
Application Deadline: January 22, 2021

The WAM Digital Content team focuses on creating lively, rich media stories for digital distribution. Your working interests may be audio, video, or prose. This is an opportunity to create new digital content that is produced in conversation with the museum’s exhibitions, collections, and varied community of artists and collaborators.

The Digital Content Team will focus on two goals:

  • The first is to produce training content on video storytelling, including best practices, how-to guides, and more. This includes creating content for Instagram, gifs, TikTok, Facebook, and more.
  • The second goal is to research, pitch, and create new digital content for the Weisman’s digital channels. This content will be shared through the museum’s CloudGuide mobile app, on the website, and through social media platforms.

Digital Content Team members should have experience creating digital editorial content, with examples of finished work. Do you have experience shooting and editing video? Maybe you’ve created and distributed audio stories or podcasts, or are interested in exploring ways to publish your writing online in fresh ways. Bonus points if you’ve done motion graphics, social video, or managed social media campaigns.
