Class Tours

Advance reservations are required 4 weeks prior to visit to reserve space and resources for visiting groups. Guided and self-guided tour groups are subject to availability and will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Schedule your visit

Teen Architecture Workshop

WAM offers a week-long summer architecture camp for high school students in grades 10-12. The workshop gives students the opportunity to work collaboratively with professional architects, engineers, and designers from the University of Minnesota at our Frank Gehry-designed building, to explore, design, and build creative solutions in a professional setting. The 2020 Teen Architecture Workshop will take place August 3 – August 7, Monday – Friday, from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Get more information and register here.

Artful Writing Classroom Resource Kit

This packet contains twenty color print reproductions of artwork from WAM’s permanent collection, background information, teachers resource guide, and eighteen linked writing activities for all levels. Designed to accompany the museum’s Artful Writing workshops. Grades 4-12. $25 per packet.


Artful Writing Online Resource

Both art and writing provide meaningful opportunities to heighten perception, engage emotions, deepen thought, and broaden one’s understanding of the world.
