Mapping Prejudice Volunteer Transcript Session at the Weisman Art Museum

Mapping Prejudice is a team of dedicated individuals who are building a map that shows how racial restrictions were used to reserve land exclusive for white people for most of the twentieth century. And they’re looking for your help!

They are setting up shop at the Weisman Art Museum to host a series of volunteer transcript sessions to help map racial covenants. Volunteers examine text flagged in property deeds containing racial language and answer a series of questions.

You are not required to stay for the entire two hours, but please be present at 10:00 a.m. to receive the introduction information required to participate.

Please RSVP here to confirm your volunteer time on Thursday, October 11, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

You can find Mapping Prejudice in the museum on the following dates:

Thursday, October 11, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 18, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Thursday, October 25, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
