Explore the processes that art and writing share. In this 3-day (June 25-June 27, 2018, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.) workshop teachers will explore WAM’s galleries and learn strategies to help build visual and verbal literacy. You will get to work alongside artists (including artist Mischa Kegan, spoken word artist Desdamona and behavioral artist Marcus Young 楊墨!) in the museum’s galleries to:

-Practice strategies for teaching thinking skills and encouraging students to perceive more and build their own meaning.
-Explore possibilities to infuse 21st century skills into teaching across curriculum.
-Enjoy time to plan and share ideas with a professional community.

Open to teachers of all disciplines and specialties and of students in all grades.
Participation limited to 30 teachers
Earn 18 CEU's

Includes lunch, composition notebook, and one copy of the Artful Writing Resource Kit.
The option to pay now or later through registration is available.
