The mapping of the museum’s collection does not produce a map based on places and roads. Instead, it is a guide based on people and events—milestones important to the growth of the Weisman Art Museum’s collection. Each artwork tells the story of how the collection grew and the visionary people who made that growth possible. Like most museums, WAM’s collection has grown primarily through gifts and bequests from individuals.
