It’s fall semester of the 2016-2017 school year. WAM Collective will continue to hold it’s once a month study nights. What is WAM Collective you might ask? It is the Weisman Art Museum’s official student group. The focus of the group is to help bring together the WAM and U of M community through innovative and social activities. Study nights at the Weisman give students a place to relax and focus. Features of study nights include hands-on art making, gallery tours, and informational networking. Study nights are held on a monthly basis Wednesday evenings from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Bring your friends and your homework and indulge in a peaceful night of studying.

Meet our Education Assistant and Program Chair of the WAM Collective, Lexi Herman, a junior studying studio arts. Lexi has been working at the museum for a year and a half. As an Education Assistant she takes on tasks such as assisting with community programs, scheduling tours, and assisting with tour guide trainings. As a Program Chair of the WAM Collective she helps conceptualize programs to help engage the student body, helps write program descriptions, and manages her own committee.
